Phoebe-and-HunterPhoebe Duke

ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR TRAINEE, CERTIFIED SAR DOG HANDLER, LOGISTICS, MEDICAL

I am Phoebe Duke from Spokane Washington. My search dog, Porter, is a Golden Retriever, certified in Airscent, HRD and Shoreline.

I became a Christian through Young Life and eventually became a Young Life leader. Part way through my freshman year in college, God said “I want you to become an Athletic Trainer instead.” I said “A what?” He said “Don’t worry, you‘ll find out.”

Working with athletes has been a fun ministry. My SAR career started in Explorer Search and Rescue in high school. I have been the co-coordinator for Ski Patrol Search and Rescue locally and am part of the Command Staff for Spokane County SAR. I have instructed at the Washington State SAR conference.

I am available for teaching classes in wilderness first aid, bone identification, survival and navigation. Contact me through Shekinah K9 if you would like to set up a class.
